THE HAGUE, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Ajax beat longtime rivals Feyenoord 3-1 in Amsterdam on Wednesday to go through to the semi- finals of the Dutch Cup, the KNVB Beker.

In front of 50,000 spectators in the Amsterdam Arena Rotterdam, Feyenoord took the lead in the 7th minute. The visitors profited from bad defending by Ajax. Tonny Vilhena beat Ajax goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer with a lob and Jean-Paul Boetius scored from close range.

However, Feyenoord also did not look well in defense. After a mistake by defender Joris Mathijsen Danish Ajax forward Viktor Fischer profited and scored.

In the second half Feyenoord goalkeeper Erwin Mulder saved a header by Lasse Schone, but in the rebound Bojan scored. The Spaniard headed in the 2-1 in the 68th minute. In injury time substitute Thulani Serero added the third Ajax goal.
