DUBAI, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Spain's David Ferrer will meet his compatriot and men's world number one Rafael Nadal on Friday in the first semifinal of the Abu Dhabi World Tennis Championship after he won on Thursday 7-5, 6-1 against the Swiss player David Wawrinka.
Serbia's tennis ace Novak Djukovic, currently the world's number two in men's tennis, will play on Friday the second semifinal against the winner of the match between Andy Murray of Britain and France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Thursday evening.
The men's final will take place on Saturday, Dec. 28 at around five pm local time in the Zayed Sports City Stadium in the capital of the oil-rich United Arab Emirates.
Named after the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, the Mubadala World Tennis Championship will distribute 250,000 dollars prize money.
