ROME, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Roma head coach Rudi Garcia said on Sunday Juventus are a formidable opponents as they were built to win.
Roma are five points adrift of the Italian Serie A leaders Juventus though they are still unbeaten this season. Garcia argued that it is because Juventus are too strong rather than Roma did not perform well.
"We have 41 points after 17 games, an extraordinary sum. With these points we'd usually be top, but this year Juventus win all the time. After Christmas we can think about the game in Turin," he said.
"The real difference is that Juve have a squad built to win in Italy, but also in Europe, so they have two teams in one," Garcia said.
Roma will challenge Juventus at Turin on January 5th.
Roma beat Catania 4-0 at home on Sunday, and Garcia praised his side performance after the break.
"The first half was bad, but the second half was stellar. That is the Roma I always want to see," he said.
"It's true the balance of the side was much better in the second half, but we also knew a draw would be a bad result for us, so we had to push hard to win with four strikers," he added.
