LONDON, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Swansea striker Wilfried Bony will be off the pitch for several weeks due to the hamstring injury in their 1-0 loss to Valencia in Thursday's Europa League match.

Bony left the field in the first half after his right leg was injured while chasing a long ball.

Bony's injury has become a major blow for Swansea while the Spanish striker Michu was also sidelined because of ankle problem.

The club's boss Michael Laudrup said: "It could be quite a serious one.It is a blow but that's how it is."

Swansea will meet Manchester City on Sunday in the Premier League.
