WASHINGTON, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chicago Bulls All-Star guard Derrick Rose will have surgery on medial meniscus in his right knee on Monday.

Rose was injured during the Bulls' 98-95 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday. He made 20 points before tearing his medial meniscus in the third quarter.

Rose had be out for 18 month because of left knee injury until he restarted playing this season. The former MVP averaged 15.9 points and 4.3 assists for the Bulls in the 2013-2014 season.
