RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Almost 230,000 World Cup seats will be available during the tournament's second ticketing phase starting Monday (Nov. 11), world football's governing body FIFA said in a statement.
Fans will have until November 28 to apply for tickets before a third and final installment go on sale following the World Cup draw on December 8.
Requests can be made via FIFA's official website with successful applicants to be drawn from a lottery.
FIFA said 889,305 tickets were allocated to fans during the first sales phase, which ended on October 10.
Brazil accounted for the highest number of successful applicants with 625,276 tickets, followed by the US (66,646), Britain (22,257), Germany (18,019), Australia (15,401), Canada (13,507), France (11,628) and Colombia (11,326).
