ROME, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Juventus striker will be sidelined for three weeks due to a thigh strain, the Turin club confirmed on Wednesday.

Quagliarella underwent tests on Wednesday morning and a first degree lesion was detected in the right thigh muscle.

"The prognosis is around 20 days," read a statement released by Juventus.

It means Quagliarella will miss this weekend's trip to Fiorentina and the Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
