HONG KONG, July 29 (Xinhua) -- Premier League champion Manchester United beat local club Kitchee 5-2 in a friendly match here on Monday to end their Asia Tour with two wins in five matches.
Three goals in ten minutes gave United a 3-0 lead by the half time. Danny Welbeck steered the ball into an empty net after Ashley Young's half volley from a tight angle had rattled the post and rebounded straight to unmarked Welbeck at 16th minute.
Six minutes later Tom Cleverley's cross from the right found Chris Smalling just inside the penalty area and the England defender rose to direct a powerful header into the net. Fabio da Silva scored the third with a right-foot strike from Wilfried Zha's lay-off.
Adnan Januzaj, who replaced Welbeck by half time, headed in Alex Buttner's cross at the fourth minute of the second half. But the defence still seems to be David Moyes' biggest problem as Lam Ka-Wai scored a consolation goal for Kitchee three minutes later, which saw the United lost goals in all five matched of their Asia tour.
The home side scored again on 68 minutes when Alex Alkande netted following a mazy dribble through the United penalty area.
Substitute Lingard scored United's fifth with a stunning individual strike on 80 minutes, just before Robin van Persie came from bench to play the last ten minutes, who was applauded by the Hong Kong crowd.
