MINSK, June 7 (Xinhua) -- Belarus lost 1-0 to Finland in Friday's 2014 World Cup European zone qualification in Helsinki.

Igor Shitov scored an own goal on the 57th minute of the match.

Now Belarus has one win and four losses in qualifiers while Finland has one win, two draws and one loss.

Belarus will face Finland again three days later. Then in September, Belarus will battle against France and Spain. Finland after next week's Belarus matches faces Georgia and Spain in September.

Belarus currently lies in 67th position in FIFA ranking, just 15 places ahead of Finland.
