HAVANA, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Five Cuban athletes will participate in the canoeing and kayaking World Cup to be held in the Hungarian city of Szeged from May 10 to 12, said a sports official on Wednesday.

The country's canoeing commissioner Alejandro Hanze told the sports Website JIT that the chosen ones are Serguey Torres, Rolexis Baez, Raidel Ramos, Maikel Zulueta and Reinier Torres.

The Szeged World Cup is expected to attract 500 athletes from 75 countries and regions.
