BEIJING, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese veteran diver Wu Minxia and her new partner Shi Tingmao won the women's three-meter springboard synchronized at the FINA Diving World Series here on Friday.
Wu, 27, Olympic champion in the event, collected 336.60 points with Shi to claim the title. Alicia Blagg and Rebecca Gallantree of Britain were second in 305.79, while Ukraine's Olena Fedorova/Anna Pysmenska came third in 300.90.
"It's our first competition as a pair," said Wu. "We did good synchronization and I hope we can do better in the future."
"My rhythm is similar with Shi's in diving and I think that's why we were made a pair," Wu added.
Wu will not take part in the women's 3m springboard Saturday due to injuries.
"I took a long break in the winter and I'm not in my top form now," she said. "I need more time to deal with my injuries."
