SANTIAGO, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Spanish pilot Joan "Nani" Roma (Mini) in car category, Dutch Frans Verhoeven (Yamaha) in motorcycle category and Sebastian Husseini, from the United Arab Emirates, in quad category, Thursday won Dakar Rally' s 12th stage, a travel that went from Argentina' s city of Fiambala and Chile' s city of Copiapo.
With Thursday's victory, Joan "Nani" Roma also achieved the third position in the overall rankings.
American pilot Robby Gordon (Hummer) arrived in second, while French Stephane Peterhansel (Mini) arrived in fourth, despite he holds the lead of the overall standings.
Meanwhile, in the motorcycle category, Verhoeven was the winner of the 12th stage, followed by Portuguese Ruben Faria and Spanish Joan Barreda (Husqvarna).
French pilot Cyril Despres (KTM) holds the leadership, despite he finished 14th in this stage.
In quad category, the Emirati pilot won the 12th stage with a time of 4 hours, 36 minutes and 54 seconds.
Husseini defeated Argentinean Marcos Patronelli, who arrived second but who holds the lead of the general rankings, with an advantage of almost 2 hours over his nearest follower, Chilean Ignacio Casale.
On Friday, pilots will compete the last stage between the Chilean cities of Copiapo and La Serena, a 441-kilometer special travel.
