BUENOS AIRES, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Paraguay and Colombia will play the opening match on Wednesday of the 2013 South American Youth Championship, to be held until Feb. 3 in Argentina's Andean cities of Mendoza and San Juan.
The 10 U-20 teams from the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) that are playing in the 26th edition of the tournament will be vying for four tickets to the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup to be held in Turkey from June 21 to July 13.
The opening match will be held on Wednesday at 8 pm local time (2300 GMT) at the Malvinas Argentinas Stadium in Mendoza, 1,068 kilometers west of the capital Buenos Aires.
Paraguay and Colombia are in Group A, along with Argentina, Chile and Bolivia. The group will play all its games in Mendoza.
Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela are in Group B and will play their games in San Juan, 1,150 kilometers west of Buenos Aires.
