BELO HORIZONTE, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Prices at the reopened Mineirao stadium will be three times as expensive as tickets last season, Minas side Cruzeiro revealed today.h The newly renovated arena, which will be used during the Confederations and World Cups, will see its first official match on February 3. Cruzeiro and Atletico-MG meet in the Minas Gerias state championship.

Tickets for the inaugural game range from 60 reais to 120 reais, approximately between 25 and 50 U.S. dollars.

The price increase marks a stark contrast to 2012, when fans could watch the sides play at the Estatio Independencia for a modest 20 reais.

The Mineirao will see plenty of action prior to its first international tournament, the FIFA Confederations Cup in June.

Aside from hosting matches in the Minas Gerais and Brazilian championships, Atletico-MG will play Copa Libertadores games at their newly modernized home.

Having finished runners-up in last year's Brazilian league the club qualified automatically for South America's most important club competition and will play their first Libertadores game at the stadium next month.
