SAN JOSE, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Costa Rican cyclist Nieves Carrazco Thursday won for the second time in his carrer, the 10th stage of Costa Rica's International Cycling Tour, where Colombian Oscar Sanchez is general leader.
Carrazco was the first one to cross the final line of the stage, a 121.4-kilometer travel between Osa canton at 170 kilometers southeast of San Jose, where the maximum height is of 60 meters over the sea level.
The Costa Rican cyclist (from Coronado-Hotel Los Lagos team), won this stage with a time of 2 hours, 47 minutes and 56 seconds, followed by Cuban Arnold Alcolea, just 19 seconds behind.
In the general ranking, Colombian Oscar Sanchez (from GW-Shimano team), is still the leader with a total time of 30 hours, 39 minutes and one second, followed by Costa Ricans Roman Villalobos at one minute and one second and Juan Carlos Rojas at 2 minutes and 23 seconds behind the leader.
The 11th stage of Costa Rica's Tour will be performed Friday, a 90.2-kilometer travel between San Ramon and Pejibaye de Perez Zeledon communities, in the southeaster region of Costa Rica.
The Costa Rica's International Cycling Tour is held from Dec. 17 to 29, with a total of 12 stages and the participation of teams from Colombia, Chile, Guatemala, Cuba and Costa Rica.
