MILAN, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed on Sunday that Robinho wanted go home to Brazil.
"Robinho has told us he wants to go home to Brazil. Obviously, if he changes his mind then we will be very happy to keep him here, but if he wants to go then it' s right he does," Allegri said following his side's 4-1 win over Pescara.
Brazilian club Santos have confirmed they are in negotiations for Robinho after their initial offer was rejected.
Allegri urge his side to carry on their good form in order to catch up with the leading teams.
"We must continue working, because we are trying to do our best and are still quite a few points off the top," he said.
"There are some things in life that are out of our hands. Milan are doing well after a negative start, but every single player is improving and fortune is favouring us lately," he said.
