DALLAS, Texas, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- NBA Dallas Mavericks' forward Shawn Marion will miss the next three games due to a left knee injury before being re-evaluated next week, the team announced on Tuesday.

Marion suffered a sprained medial collateral knee ligament in the third quarter of a 114-91 victory over Portland on Monday.

The Mavericks said Marion, 34, will not play in Wednesday's home game against Toronto and will not travel with the team on a two-game road trip to New York and Charlotte.

Marion has averaged 8.0 points and 9.0 rebounds a game in the first week of the new NBA season for Mavericks, who recorded three wins out of four games, and has career NBA averages of 16.4 points and 9.2 rebounds a game.?
