TIELING, Liaoning Province, June 13 (Xinhua) -- The former Chinese soccer chief Nan Yong was sentenced to 10 and a half years in prison for taking bribes.
The former director of the Chinese Football Administrative Center was charged with 17 counts of taking bribes worth 235,000 U.S. dollars.
Nan's predecessor Xie Yalong, accused of accepting bribes totaling more than 273,000 U.S. dollars, is waiting for his verdict.
Four former Chinese international players - Shen Si, Qi Hong, Jiang Jin and Li Ming, charged of taking a total of 1.27 million U.S. dollars to fix a league game, all received jail sentence.
Shen was given a six-year term while the others were sentenced for five and a half years.
