RIO DE JANEIRO, May 27 (Xinhua) -- Cuba' s national soccer team will this week warm up for its June World Cup qualifiers with matches against Brazil' s Mogi Mirim and Ponte Preta.
The Caribbean nation will confront Mogi Mirim at the Romildo Ferreira Stadium in Sao Paulo on Monday before Wednesday' s game against Ponte Preta at the Moises Lucarelli Stadium.
The games coincide with a 10-day break in the Brazilian championship due to international friendlies.
"This will give us an invaluable chance to test ourselves against an international team that plays differently to what we are used to," Ponte Preta football manager Marcus Vinicius said.
"It will also give us an opportunity to keep sharp during the interval in the Brazilian championship."
Cuba will resume its 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign in FIFA' s Concacaf group with games against Canada on June 8 and Panama four days later.
