RIO DE JANEIRO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Santos coach Muricy Ramalho will have the luxury of recalling former Manchester City midfielder Elano and striker Borges for Wednesday's Copa Libertadores round of 16 duel with Bolivar.
The pair missed Santos's 2-0 victory over Mogi Mirim in the Sao Paulo championship on Sunday but both are certain to feature in La Paz.
"Elano and Borges will play in Bolivia. They have had a heavy workload and we thought it was in our best interests to let them rest," Muricy said.
The news is not so positive for Brazilian squad member Henrique and defenders Crystian and Fucile, who are yet to recover from injury.
In Wednesday's other Copa Libertadores clash, Deco's Fluminense will meet Brazilian rival Internacional in Porto Alegre.
Fluminense coach Abel Braga admitted he feels uneasy about facing the club he led to the 2006 Copa Libertadores title and club world championship.
"We were the first ranked team in the competition and I think we deserved a better draw," said Braga.
"I would have much preferred to play against Emelec, but that's the way it goes."
