RIO DE JANEIRO, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Brazilian clubs Corinthians and Atletico-MG are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan and Uruguay striker Diego Forlan.
The Italian serie A outfit has responded to approaches from both clubs by placing a 6.6 million-dollar price tag on the 32-year-old, according to Brazil's Globoesporte and Lancenet.
Forlan, winner of the golden ball as the best player at the 2010 World Cup, has struggled to find his best form since joining Inter Milan from Atletico Madrid last August.
In 17 matches for the Nerazzurri the former Manchester United, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid forward has scored just twice.
"Atletico-MG doesn't make comments on contract negotiations so I'm not going to deny or confirm it," Atletico-MG football director Eduardo Maluf told Globo.
