ROME, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Roma rekindled their hope of snatching a spot for the next season's Champions League on Saturday when they regained sixth spot from Inter Milan with a 1-0 win at Palermo.
Fabio Borini scored the sole goal in the third minute to earn the Giallorossi all three points and inflict the second home defeat in a row on Palermo.
Erik Lamela pounced on a poor clearance by Ezequiel Munoz and then threaded the ball through the Palermo defender's legs into the path of Borini, who picked his spot low in the bottom left-hand corner of Emiliano Viviano's goal.
With the win, Roma moved back above Inter, five points adrift of fourth-placed Udinese.
Roma head coach Luis Enrique felt Roma finally had "the right attitude and focus throughout the 90 minutes" for their victory in Palermo.
"I liked that we had the right attitude and focus throughout the 90 minutes against a strong side who play well on home turf," he said.
"The goal was a good move that gives us three points to keep on believing. The defence is not just four players, but rather the whole team who did what needed to be done," he added.
