WARSAW, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Polish Sports Minister Joanna Mucha will chair the National Coordinating Committee responsible for the organization of Euro 2012 football championships in Poland, while polish Interior Minister Jacek Cichocki will coordinate security during the games.
The National Coordinating Committee will coordinate activities of all entities involved in the organization of the Euro 2012 soccer games in Poland, such as ministries, city mayors, UEFA and The Polish Football Association (PZPN).
Security during the games will be ensured by over 9,000 policemen, of whom 2,400 in Warsaw, 1,200 in Gdansk, 1,300 in Poznan and 1,100 in Wroclaw.
Over 1,000 policemen will be on service in Krakow, 719 in Rzeszow and 738 in Lublin.
Police and other security services will stage exercises in March and April.
Euro 2012, to take place from June 8 to July 1, 2012, will be co-hosted by the two countries' eight cities. The matches will be played in Poland's Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Ukraine's Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov and Donetsk.
