JINAN, Shandong Province, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Henk ten Cate, newly-appointed manager of Shandong Luneng club, has vowed to lead the team to Chinese Super League title.
The 57-year-old Dutchman was presented to the media on Thursday along with his Dutch assistants in Jinan, capital city of east China's Shandong Province.
Henk ten Cate has an impressive coaching experience, as he previously had stints at Barcelona, Ajax and Chelsea.
"I want the players to see me as a bright teacher," said Ten Cate.
About young players, Ten Cate said "The age is not a problem. The younger players need time to mature. I will not hesitate to integrate them into first team as long as they have good quality."
He then stressed that he does not mind criticism from the media, but added that he hopes the media to be "critical but fair".
Ten Cate will fly to Haikou on Friday to start his job in China.
