LONDON, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Glen Johnson scored the winner two minutes from time helping Liverpool snap a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Sunday, kindling their Champions League hopes.

Maxi Rodriguez put the visitors in front 12 minutes from time but Chelsea substitute Daniel Sturridge equalized 10 minutes into the second half.

Chelsea looked the more likely winners as the clock ticked down but full back Johnson cut through the home side's defense and slid a cool left-foot shot into the corner.

Liverpool remain sixth but are now level on 22 points with Chelsea in fourth and Tottenham Hotspur in fifth, 12 points behind leaders Manchester City.
