CAIRO, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Former United States football coach Bob Bradley was officially appointed as the new coach of Egyptian football team on Saturday after signing a three-year agreement.
Head of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) Samir Zaher told to a press conference Saturday that the association reviewed 30 CVs and interviewed 30 coaches before choosing Bradley.
According to Zaher, Bradley will have a salary of 30,000 euros (40,400 dollars) per month but would be fired automatically if his boys failed to qualify for the 2013 African Cup of Nations or the 2014 World Cup.
Bradley promised on the conference that he would help the team to qualify for the Brazil World Cup in 2014.
Bradley had been the coach of the US men's national team from 2006 to 2011 and helped the United States to reach the knockout round of the 2010 World Cup.
