RIO DE JANEIRO, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Despite advancing to the semifinals of the Sao Paulo state championship, Corinthians' head coach Tite received the message that his job is in jeopardy on Sunday.
The club's administration has not been satisfied with Tite's results. Members of the club's directory are already placing pressure on president Andres Sanchez to fire Tite in case of another slip up or negative result.
The major criticisms against Tite are that he has unsuccessfully led his team into two major tournaments. The team was eliminated in the pre-Libertadores Cup and has recently struggled in the state championship.
The administration at Corinthians has mentioned the names of Dorival Junior and Carlos Alberto Parreira as likely substitutes for Tite. However, no official negotiations with either coach have materialized.
Even if Corinthians were to win the 2011 Sao Paulo state championship, Tite is likely to be fired before the start of the 2011 Brazilian Championship.
