BERLIN, March 8 (Xinhua) -- Armin Veh is set to leave Hamburger SV after the season, the German Bundesliga's club coach said on Tuesday.
The 50-year-old denied the option to prolong his contract for one year. After a long back and forth Veh announced his decision by saying: "Due to the current situation, in which we currently find ourselves, I will not be available as the coach for next season."
Hamburg are placed currently on 7th position along 37 points with a five-point gap to a European berth.
"At Hamburg, it is partially about soccer, but that's my job. We have nine remaining matches, in which we still have a chance to an international position," Veh added.
Armin Veh joined the club in 2010 to leave the club after only one year after 11 victories, four draws and nine defeats.
