ASTANA, Kazakhstan, Jan. 30 (Xinhua) -- The 7th Asian Winter Games opened here on Sunday with the participation of 27 countries and regions.

The games that features 69 events will run through to Feb. 6.

Host Kazakhstan aims to win at least 23 gold medals.

China sent to the games 129 athletes, including 86 winter Asiad debutants.
