RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Ronaldinho Gaucho officially signed a 42-month contract with Flamengo on Tuesday, and Flamengo head coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo called the player's acquisition the best deal ever in the history of Brazilian soccer.

Ronaldinho signed the contract inside a restaurant in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Hundreds of miles away in the city of Londrina, Parana, the Flamengo soccer team was undergoing their pre-season workout.

Luxemburgo talked about Ronaldinho's arrival for the first time during the workout.
