MILAN, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Sampdoria's cast-off Antonio Cassano joined AC Milan on Monday for a winter tour to Dubai.
The insolent forward, who was discarded by Sampdoria for falling out with the club's president Riccardo Garrone, has had everything cleared in his transfer to AC Milan before penning his signature on the contract.
"Cassano arrived at the Milanello training ground at 11:30 a.m. and said hello to his new teammates, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, " a statement on the club website confirmed.
"From tomorrow (Tuesday), he can train with Milan in Dubai with permission from Sampdoria."
Cassano can only officially join AC Milan after the transfer market re-opens on January 2.
The 28-year-old's tempestuous behavior once led England soccer boss Fabio Capello, who attempted to manage him at Roma, coin the popular term "Cassanata" to describe a player whose actions run entirely contrary to team spirit.
