MILAN, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Rafa Benitez has been sacked as coach of Inter Miland in the wake of their World Club Cup triumph, local media reported on Tuesday.
After winning the World Club Cup, Benitez told the Inter board to "back" him, or "sack" him, and when asked about Spaniard's statement, club president Massimo Moratti refused to comment at the time, however it now seems he has taken Benitez's advice into consideration.
