RIO DE JANEIRO, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Ronaldinho's agent and brother, Assis, announced some frustrating news on Saturday to Brazilian clubs Flamengo and Palmeiras.
One day after both clubs prepared official proposals to the Italian team AC Milan, Assis stated that Ronaldinho's return to Brazil will not take place any time in the near future.
"We spoke with Patricia Amorim at Flamengo, but only superficially. We didn't make any contact with anyone at Flamengo and we don't intend to. The only contact we had with Flamengo was a dinner in Rio with Amorim. The team was not serious about Ronaldinho," said Assis.

Assis left Brazil on Friday to meet with the team directors at Milan. The club offered a contract renewal until 2013. The player's current contract expires in July of 2011. The agent told the directors that Ronaldinho will give his response to the extension in December of this year.
After discarding Brazilian clubs, Assis mentioned that if Ronaldinho does not decide to renew his contract by the end of the year, a definite possibility would be in the United States at the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Ronaldinho's former teammate at AC Milan, David Beckham has been lobbying for the midfielder to continue his career across the Atlantic Ocean.
Ronaldinho is expected to leave Brazil on Saturday, arriving in Milan on Sunday to personally speak with Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani about his future with the team.
