GENEVA, July 14 (Xinhua) -- World Cup winner Spain overtook Brazil to top the latest FIFA rankings, and runner-up Netherlands also moved up to second.

Brazil slipped to third in the table released Wednesday.

Germany climbs two places to No. 4 thanks to its third-place showing in South Africa, ahead of Argentina and World Cup semifinalist Uruguay.

England, Portugal, Egypt and Chile round out the top 10.

Chile rose eight places in the latest rankings, but the biggest jump was made by New Zealand. It climbed 24 spots to 54th.

The United States gained a spot to 13th.

Italy, the 2006 World Cup winner, dropped out of the top 10 to 11th. France fell 12 places to 21st.
