JOHANNESBURG, June 14 (Xinhua) -- The Mexican national soccer team must learn to control the pressure in this World Cup and seek the triumph against France to get a ticket for the second round, captain of the team Gerardo Torrado said on Monday.
"We are in a World Cup, the pressure never is going to be few, so as it
drops we have to know how to manage it," Torrado told reporters before starting the morning training of the national team.
Mexico is getting ready to face France on Thursday in Polokwane city for the second group match.
Torrado said France has its famous players "and we have ours, but at the end the names do not play, the men do."
The tie between France and Uruguay puts all the teams of the Group A in the same conditions, so "it will be very important to seek the victory with confidence to reach the next round," Torrado added.
Meanwhile, Mexican player Carlos Vela said "we have to win over France or any other rivals."
"Relatively it is to say that France is not at its best moment, because we can say they are bad, but when you are at the field it is different," Vela said.
