JOHANNESBURG, April 29 (Xinhua) -- South Africa's glamour club, Kaizer Chiefs from Johannesburg, won two trophies at the 2010 South African Telkom Knockout competition's awards ceremony at the Wanderers club in Johannesburg on Thursday.
Arthur Bartman won the award for goalkeeper of the tournament and Dominic Isaacs received the defender of the tournament award.
The South African Press Association commented that the defensive duo were instrumental in Chiefs' success this season, where they won the Telkom Knockout.
Isaacs said he was shocked but very happy. "I really did not expect this and I must thank my parents for their support. They have always been there for me. And my teammates have been outstanding too. I don't think this award could have been possible without them."
Bartman and Isaacs each received 100,000 rands (13,600 U.S. dollars), together with their trophies.
Dipsy Selolwane of Ajax Cape Town received the same amount as midfielder of the tournament.
However, no one received the top goal scorer award as no player scored five goals during the tournament, which is the minimum required.
