MADRID, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The Asian Football Confederation says that South Korea will play European Champions Spain in a warm-up game ahead of this summer's World Cup finals in South Africa.
The Spaniards travel to South Africa as the number one ranked country in the World according to football's governing body, FIFA.
The team coached by Vicente del Bosque qualified for the World Cup finals by winning all of its games and is unbeaten since losing to the United States in last summer's Confederation Cup.
The game will no doubt bring back memories of the World Cup quarterfinal between the two countries in 2002, when then hosts South Korea beat Spain on penalties following a 0-0 when the Spanish complained bitterly about the performance of the Egyptian referee Gamal Ghandour
Spain will face Switzerland, Honduras and Chile in the group stage in South Africa, while South Korea lines up against Argentina, Nigeria and Greece.
