Barcelona is in the market for a new left back after veteran defender Sylvinho left the club at the end of the season and 24-year-old Felipe is thought to be top of the club's shopping list.
Felipe has been with Deportivo la Coruna for the last two seasons and has also played for Dutch side Ajax and Real Madrid's B-team.
However, speaking to Spanish radio station Onda FM on Friday, he made it clear where he wants to play his football next season.
"Spain is a country where I like living. I want to play in Spain and go to a big club and Barcelona is the best there is. I feel I am more prepared than ever," he said.
"I am completely adapted to play in La Liga and I do not want to leave Spain," insisted Felipe, who does not expect any problems from his current club, should Barca make him an offer.
"Deportivo treat me like one of the family. They have really looked after me and they also know what I want," he added.
Last season Felipe played every league game for Deportivo as his side finished seventh in the Primera Liga table and just missed out on a place in Europe for the forthcoming season.
