SHANGHAI, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The 22nd China International Industry Fair (CIIF) concluded Saturday in Shanghai, with nearly 500 new technologies and products making their debut at the five-day event.
With the theme of "Intelligence & Interconnection, Empowering New Industrial Development," this year's CIIF has seen 4.3 percent more professional visitors, and attracted 2,238 exhibitors from 22 countries and regions, about 20 percent of which were from overseas or foreign-funded enterprises in China.
Pang Xingjian, senior vice president of Schneider Electric, said the global economy is full of challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and when facing uncertainties, the company hopes to launch its new applications in China first.
First held in 1999, the CIIF has become one of the most influential platforms for international trade, exchanges, and cooperation on industrial scope.
