BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- A forum commemorating the 75th anniversary of the signing of the Charter of the United Nations (UN) was held Wednesday in Beijing through video links, highlighting the importance of multilateralism against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Experts and representatives of multiple international organizations gathered online and had in-depth exchanges of views on enhancing multilateralism to collectively achieve the sustainable development goals.
Participants of the forum also pooled their wisdom on a wide range of topics, such as strengthening coordination within the framework of the UN and coping with the challenges of global governance.
Two panel discussions focusing on multilateralism and realizing the sustainable development goals were also held online.
