NANJING, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- An international seminar on humanitarian cooperation and exchanges was held Thursday in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province.
Addressing the seminar, Chen Zhu, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and president of the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC), called for efforts to strengthen humanitarian communication and collaboration and join hands to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
The seminar was co-hosted by the RCSC and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
Over 70 representatives from 11 countries including Canada, Iraq, Afghanistan and Mongolia attended the seminar.
