NANCHANG, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- A list of top 50 virtual reality (VR) firms of China was published for the first time at the 2019 World Conference on VR Industry, which opened Saturday in east China's Nanchang city.
HTC Communication Co., Ltd, electro-acoustic components manufacturer Goertek and the Beijing-based smart tech arm of Chinese video entertainment company iQiyi topped the list.
Well-known companies in the fields of the internet, artificial intelligence and cloud computing also made appearances on the list, including Baidu, iFlytek and Inspur Group.
The list was produced by the Industry of Virtual Reality Alliance (IVRA), which invited some 20 experts from related industry organizations, research institutes, consulting firms and media.
Zhao Qinping, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and president of the Council of IVRA, said the companies are expected to remain as the industry leaders in developing new products and technologies, and expanding the VR application market.
