BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- The 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China's top political advisory body, will convene the fourth meeting of its standing committee on November 28-29 in Beijing.
The decision was announced Friday at a chairman and vice chairpersons' meeting of the top advisory body which studied recent instructions made by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on improving the work of the CPPCC.
Presiding over Friday's meeting, Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, said studying and implementing the spirit of Xi's instructions is a major political task for political advisory bodies at all levels and will be a key part of the upcoming meeting.
The meeting should build consensus around the results of a recent study seminar on Xi's instructions and work out measures to advance the advisory body's work, Wang said.
Friday's meeting reviewed and approved in principle several documents, including a draft plan to implement the major tasks of improving political consultation, a draft revision to the rules on making proposals, a set of revised rules regulating political advisors' inspection, and drafts on personnel issues.
