BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Premier Li Keqiang said Tuesday that China is ready to increase cooperation with Guinea in areas such as production capacity and infrastructure construction.
"China and Guinea enjoy profound traditional friendship, solid political trust and fruitful cooperation," Li said when meeting with Guinean President Alpha Conde in Beijing.
Guinea was the first sub-Saharan African country to establish diplomatic ties with China, said Li, adding that China is willing to work with Guinea to take bilateral relations to a new high.
The two countries have obvious complementary economic advantages, Li said, calling on the two sides to make good use of bilateral cooperation and share experiences in poverty reduction and economic development.
Li also congratulated Guinea on overcoming the Ebola epidemic, and voiced China's willingness to beef up medical and health cooperation with Guinea to cope with major infectious diseases.
Conde thanked China's continuous support to Guinea's economic and social development, especially in combating Ebola.
Guinea highly values China's Africa policy featuring sincerity, practical results, affinity and good faith, he said, noting that Guinea is willing to learn from China's development experience.
"Guinea hopes to strengthen infrastructure construction and agriculture cooperation with China to make the bilateral cooperation a model of Africa-China friendly cooperation," he said.
