BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- A multi-language version of an animated music video on the "Four Comprehensives," the overarching strategy for China's long-term development, was released Saturday.

The video, produced by Xinhua News Agency, comprises nine languages -- Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, German, Korean and Japanese.

The multi-language version was adapted from a Chinese version released earlier this month by Xinhua. After it was released, the Chinese version went viral both home and abroad, with the New York Times, cnn, The Guardian, among many news providers across the world posting the video.

The song explains how China will comprehensively build a moderately prosperous society, deepen reform, advance the rule of law and strictly govern the Communist Party of China.

The phrase was first coined by President Xi Jinping in 2014.

The just-over three-minute video, features an inquisitive girl asking a man to explain the strategy. A baby monkey pops in and out of frame in reference to the Lunar Year of the Monkey, which began on Feb. 8.

"Prosperity and rule of law, Party building the key, reform for y'all," the chorus explains to viewers.

"Everyone is equal before the law. Think your dad can protect you? No way!" It continues in a teasing tone in Arabic. The song ends with Chinese from various professions rallying behind the two major figures and joining in with the chorus.
