BEIJING, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisory body on Friday vowed to reinforce the anti-corruption efforts in the new year.
At a meeting of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, presided over by chairman Yu Zhengsheng, senior political advisors studied President Xi Jinping's speeches at a meeting on clean governance in December and a session among anti-graft authorities held earlier this week.
They were told to remain self-disciplined and confident in the graft crackdown, according to a document released after the meeting.
The key political advisors should implement the eight-point regulations on frugality and set examples for other members of the CPPCC.
They were asked to organize the annual CPPCC session in March and make sure the session is held in a simple and cost-saving manner, according to the statement.
