BEIJING, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets on Thursday in Beijing.

China-Russia relations are at a historic high, Liu said, calling on the two sides to make full use of the China-Russia Committee on Humanities Cooperation to step up people-to-people exchanges.

Golodets expressed her willingness to work with China to promote cultural and people-to-people cooperation.
