BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisory body on Friday decided that it will hold a meeting in late August.

Yu Zhengsheng, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Friday morning presided over the the 32nd chairpersons' meeting, at which the schedule and agenda of the 12th meeting of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee was decided.

The meeting will focus on cultivating and implementing socialist core values. Political advisors will give opinions and suggestions on this issue.

Attendees at the meeting decided to remove Huang Xiaoxiang from his post of deputy secretary general of the CPPCC National Committee. His membership of the top political advisory body was also withdrawn.
