NEW YORK, May 13 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Xinhua News Agency President Cai Mingzhao on Wednesday met here with his Associated Press (AP) counterpart Gary Pruitt and discussed how media organizations can adapt themselves to the digital era so as to provide better news products for subscribers.
"Today the impact of the internet on traditional media has become so apparent that we all face the challenges of how to adapt ourselves to the digital age," Cai said.
Noting that the two news outlets have enjoyed close partnership over the years, Pruitt said AP is ready to share with Xinhua its experiences in various areas.
Accompanied by Pruitt, Cai and his delegation made a brief tour of the newsroom in AP headquarters in New York City.
This is the second meeting between the two this year.
