KATMANDU, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said here Friday that China, Nepal and India should boost cooperation and seek common development.
The Chinese foreign minister made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Nepalese counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey after the two held a bilateral meeting.
Responding to a question from the media, Wang said both Nepal and India are China's good friends and neighbors, and China hopes that the ties between China and Nepal and the ties between China and India will both witness healthy development.
Wang said the ties between China and India are in good momentum and the two countries have cooperated in a wide range of areas.
He also said that China is happy to see strong Nepal-India relationship.
China hopes that Nepal, due to its unique location, can serve as a bridge between China and India as well as a bridge between China and South Asia, the Chinese foreign minister said.
Wang said China is willing to exploit the possibility of the cooperation between China, Nepal and India in a proper time, and as they are good friends and neighbors, the trio should strengthen cooperation and seek common development so as to maintain the peace and stability in the region and contribute to the rejuvenation of the region.
